You've built your career plan, optimized your resume, and practiced your interviews. Now it's time to find the right opportunities. PokeBot's Opportunity Map brings together job discovery, recruiter introductions, networking, and career events in one place.

How Does Warm Intro Connect You to Recruiters?

The centerpiece of the Opportunity Map is Warm Intro. Open to every user, it can share your profile with recruiting partners when there's a matching role and you confirm, which is a warmer path than a cold application. You can also earn Power Intro status by completing your profile, finding your direction, and scoring 75+ on both a resume analysis and a mock interview. With Power Intro, we mention it when we introduce you.

How It Works

1. Complete your profile with your experience level, target role, industry, skills, preferred locations, work mode, and resume
2. PokeBot's matching algorithm scores opportunities against your profile using multiple factors:
   • Experience and industry fit
   • Skills match
   • Career plan alignment
   • Location and work mode preferences
3. Review your matches: each one comes with a match score so you can see how well it fits
4. React to opportunities: thumbs up for roles you're interested in, thumbs down to pass

When you give a thumbs up, we confirm with you first, then approach the recruiting partner for that role and introduce you. That's a warm introduction: a warmer path to the hiring team than applying on your own.

You Control What Gets Shared

Choose your sharing preference in Settings:

• Matched Sharing (recommended): we only consider you for roles you give a thumbs up.
• Automatic Sharing: we may also consider you for any strong match.
• Opt Out: Your profile is never shared with recruiting partners. You can still use every other feature on PokeBot.

Under either setting, we confirm with you before approaching a partner. You can change your preference anytime.

Tips for Better Matches

• Keep your profile complete and current: the more accurate your profile, the better the matches
• Practice mock interviews: when we look for candidates for a partner's role, your mock interview scores count
• React to opportunities as they come in: under Matched Sharing, we only consider you for roles you've given a thumbs up

Create a profile that highlights:

• Your professional headline and a short intro
• Your current role, field, and experience level
• What you can help others with
• What types of connections you're looking for

Find Connections

Browse the PokeBot member directory to discover professionals in your field:

• Search by name, headline, or intro, and filter by role (mentor, learner, coach, or job seeker) or by what people can help with
• Send a connection request with a short intro message to people you'd like to connect with
• Manage incoming and outgoing requests

Manage Your Network

Keep track of your professional relationships:

• View your connections and their profiles
• See whether each request is pending, accepted, or declined
• Edit your network profile as your goals change

How Do You Find Career Events?

Event Finder lists career events and lets you publish your own.

Browse Events

• Find career workshops, networking events, and professional development sessions
• Search by city or keyword, and filter by in-person or online and by category
• Read event details and mark yourself as going or interested with a single click

Publish Your Own Events

If you're organizing a career-related event (a workshop, meetup, or panel), you can publish it to the PokeBot community, where members browsing events can find it.

Track Your Events

My Events lists the events you've published and shows how many people are going or interested.

• Resume Builder: The latest resume you uploaded is the one we share with a recruiter, once you confirm an introduction
• Mock Interview: When we look for candidates for a partner's role, strong mock interview scores move you up
• Progress Tracker: Performance Dashboards show your resume and mock interview scores over time, the two scores you need at 75+ for Power Intro
