PokeBot vs Final Round AI vs Aced: Practice vs Live Copilots
Final Round AI's main product runs during a live interview. Aced and PokeBot are for practice before it. Here is how they compare and where each one wins.

Last updated: October 2026.
Quick answer: Final Round AI is built mainly for the live interview: its Interview CoPilot listens to the call and suggests answers in real time. Aced and PokeBot are for practice before it. Aced runs live peer mocks, mostly for tech roles. PokeBot runs rubric-scored AI mock interviews in six formats, plus human mocks through Premium Career Consulting.
Disclosure: PokeBot publishes this blog, and PokeBot is one of the three products compared here. We built the comparison from each company's own public pages, read on October 16, 2026, and we did not test Final Round AI or Aced hands-on. Where we describe their features, we are reporting what their sites say.

What Is the Difference Between Interview Practice and a Real-Time Copilot?
Practice happens before the interview. You answer questions from an AI or a person, then use the feedback to make the next answer better. A real-time copilot works during the interview itself. Final Round AI's homepage describes its Interview CoPilot as an assistant that "listens to your live interview and delivers real-time answers in a private window only you can see."
Final Round AI draws the same line on its own live-interview page: "Practice Interview helps you rehearse before the real call. Live Interview Copilot is built for the moment itself."
Here is what that means for one question. Say the interviewer asks about a time you missed a deadline. If you practiced, you told that story out loud last week and cut the part where it ran long. With a copilot, Final Round AI's site says a suggested answer appears seconds after the question, and you put it in your own words as you answer.
Both kinds of tool use AI. The employer policies quoted further down set their rules for the live interview.

How Much Do PokeBot, Final Round AI and Aced Cost?
PokeBot has the lowest paid entry of the three. Its Basic plan is $10 a month, billed monthly, which is less per month than the cheapest annual plan from Aced or Final Round AI. Prices are in US dollars as of October 16, 2026, from each company's pricing page as a logged-out visitor sees it. Final Round AI's page also offers a discount after you sign in, which we did not check.
| Free plan | Paid plans | |
|---|---|---|
| PokeBot | 2 lifetime AI runs in each of its five services, no credit card; browsing, saved work and dashboards stay unlimited | Basic $10, Standard $20 or Premium $40 a month |
| Final Round AI | Basic AI interview report and interview prep management | $25 to $150 a month by plan and billing term; the plans shown varied between visits |
| Aced | 5 peer mocks a month, no credit card | Pro $12 a month billed annually ($79 monthly); Expert, which adds AI mock interviews, $20 a month billed annually ($99 monthly) |
A paid PokeBot plan is a monthly allowance of AI runs in each of the five services, from 10 a month on Basic to 150 on Premium. Mock Interview is one of them, so every plan includes scored mock interviews in all six formats. Resume Building is another: given a job description, Resume Analysis gives your resume a Job Match score and lists the keywords it covers and misses.
How Do Their AI Mock Interviews Differ?
All three offer AI mock interviews. The difference is how central practice is to each product.
For interviews, PokeBot is built around practice, and its Mock Interview room has six formats:
- Interview Practice: nine interview types, from Behavioral and Technical rounds to Product Sense and a Custom scenario you describe yourself.
- Case Interview: a full consulting case with exhibits, scored against the case's answer key.
- Group Discussion: you argue a topic with AI participants and get scored feedback afterward. Our guide to assessment-center group discussions covers how the real exercise is scored.
- Performance Review: a review conversation with your manager.
- Pitch & Demo: elevator pitches and product demos.
- Mock Everything: role plays for other conversations, such as a salary negotiation.
In Interview Practice you pick the role and difficulty, and you can add your resume and a job description so the questions fit the job. You answer by typing in Text Mode or out loud in Audio Mode, and you can turn on follow-up questions.
Each answer is scored against the rubric for that interview type, with your target role as context. The report scores you overall and per competency, and it gives a Suggested Answer for each question. Audio Mode adds a note on your speaking pace. Every past session stays in your history, and you can retry any of them with the same setup. PokeBot's mock interviews also run inside ChatGPT and inside Claude.
Final Round AI keeps practice inside the CoPilot app as a secondary mode. Its old AI Mock Interview is now Practice Interview, in the same desktop app, with eight scenarios from behavioral and coding rounds to salary negotiation and recruiter screens. Each run starts from a "Goal" that holds the job you're targeting and your materials. Its FAQ says the practice rounds themselves are a paid feature.
Aced lists AI mock interviews and AI interview feedback under its Expert plan, and its practice page also offers AI practice on demand.
Where each one is strongest: Final Round AI's Goal keeps one job's context in one place, from practice through the live call to the debrief. For tech roles, Aced goes deeper on practice content: many questions in its database are labeled with the company that asked them, and its courses come with video answers. PokeBot's six formats reach past interviews, to group discussions and performance reviews, and each one is scored against a rubric for that format.

Which One Lets You Practice With a Real Person?
Aced, formerly Exponent, is a tech interview prep platform, and its practice page says Pramp is now part of it too. Its practice offering centers on live peer mock interviews:
- You schedule a session or join one that is about to start, and Aced matches you with another candidate preparing for the same kind of interview.
- Sessions are one-on-one video calls in the browser, about an hour long. You each spend about 30 minutes as the interviewee and 30 as the interviewer.
- Coding sessions include a built-in collaborative code editor.
- Afterward you and your partner trade notes using rubrics. For some interview types Aced's AI also grades a transcript of the session, a feature its FAQ describes as early access for members.
Session types lean toward tech roles, such as product management and system design, with a finance track too. The free Basic plan includes 5 peer mocks a month, and a live partner adds the pressure of another person watching you think.
PokeBot offers human practice through Premium Career Consulting (Human + AI, from $199). The consulting mock interviews are with senior interviewers rather than other candidates, and they come with question-by-question feedback. Between human sessions, you can start a PokeBot AI mock interview any time, with no partner to book. To add pressure, set an answer time limit or pick an Interviewer Style such as Challenger, who pushes back on almost every answer.
We didn't find human mock interviews on the Final Round AI pages we read.
What Do Employers Say About AI During a Live Interview?
That depends on the employer and the round, and employers publish very different rules:
- Anthropic's guidance for candidates encourages using AI to "practice your answers" before interviews and asks for "no AI assistance unless we indicate otherwise" during live ones.
- Canva's engineering blog says it now expects candidates for some engineering roles to use AI tools during technical interviews, and it tells them ahead of time.
- Entrepreneur reported in August 2025 that Google requires at least one in-person interview round and that McKinsey asks hiring managers to meet candidates in person at least once, in response to candidates using AI.
- Final Round AI's own Stealth Mode page tells its users to follow "any interview rules you need to follow."
Where an employer allows AI help in a round, using it follows the rules. So check the rules for each round, or ask your recruiter, before using any live AI help. We go deeper on where interviewers draw the line, and if your round does allow AI, this guide to AI-allowed coding interviews covers what gets scored.
Why Does PokeBot Focus on Practice?
Preparation is where the two published policies above agree. Anthropic's guidance encourages using AI to practice, and Canva recommends that candidates practice with AI tools before its interviews. They split on the live round.
A skill you rehearsed is still yours in an in-person round, like the onsite rounds Google and McKinsey brought back, and it is still yours once you start the job. That is the side PokeBot builds on.
Which One Should You Use?
Match the tool to what you need:
- You want scored reps on your own schedule, in formats beyond tech rounds: PokeBot.
- You want to practice with a real person: Aced for free peer mocks with other candidates, mostly for tech roles, or PokeBot's Premium Career Consulting for mock interviews with senior interviewers and question-by-question feedback, from $199.
- Your interview round explicitly allows AI help during the call: Final Round AI is built for live help. Read the employer's rules for that round first.
You can also combine them: peer mocks on Aced for the pressure of a human partner, and AI mocks on PokeBot for the reps in between.
Practice and live help aren't either-or. A copilot can suggest what to say, but you still have to say it well under pressure, so practicing first helps either way.
A free PokeBot account includes Mock Interview for the practice, and Resume Building, where Resume Analysis scores your resume against the job you're interviewing for.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between an AI interview practice tool and a real-time interview copilot?
A practice tool runs a mock interview before the real one and gives you feedback afterward. A real-time copilot runs during the real interview: it listens to the call and shows you suggested answers on your own screen. Final Round AI's Interview CoPilot is a real-time copilot. PokeBot and Aced are practice tools.
What are good Final Round AI alternatives for interview practice?
For rehearsal before the interview, look at practice tools. PokeBot runs AI mock interviews in six formats, including case interviews and group discussions, each scored against a rubric. Aced runs live peer mock interviews over video with other candidates, mostly for tech roles, and its Expert plan adds AI mock interviews. For practice with a person, PokeBot's Premium Career Consulting, from $199, includes mock interviews with senior interviewers.
How much does Final Round AI cost compared with Aced and PokeBot?
As listed on October 16, 2026, Final Round AI has a free plan, and its paid plans run from $25 to $150 a month, depending on the plan and billing term. Its pricing page showed different plans on different visits. Aced's Basic plan is free. Its Pro plan is $12 a month billed annually or $79 monthly, and the Expert plan is $20 a month billed annually or $99 monthly. PokeBot has a free plan and paid plans from $10 to $40 a month, billed monthly, so its $10 Basic plan is the lowest paid entry of the three. Prices change, so check each site before you buy.
Can you use an AI copilot during a real interview?
It depends on the employer's rules for that interview. Anthropic asks candidates for no AI assistance during live interviews unless it says otherwise. Canva tells some engineering candidates ahead of time that it expects them to use AI tools in technical interviews. Final Round AI's own Stealth Mode page tells users to follow any interview rules that apply to them, so read the rules before the call, or ask your recruiter.
Can I practice interviews with a real person instead of AI?
Yes. Aced runs live peer mock interviews over video, where you and another candidate take turns as interviewer and interviewee. Its free Basic plan includes 5 peer mocks a month. PokeBot offers human practice through Premium Career Consulting, from $199, which includes mock interviews with senior interviewers and question-by-question feedback.
Can you prepare with PokeBot and use a live copilot in the interview?
Yes, where the employer's rules for that round allow live AI help. The two cover different moments. PokeBot is for practice before the interview, with scored mock interviews and suggested answers in its Mock Interview room. A copilot such as Final Round AI's Interview CoPilot works during the call. A copilot can suggest what to say, but you still have to say it well under pressure, so practicing first helps either way. PokeBot itself has no live-interview feature.
Which tool is best for free interview practice?
It depends on the kind of practice you want. Aced's free plan includes 5 peer mock interviews a month with other candidates. PokeBot's free plan needs no credit card and includes 2 lifetime AI runs in each of its five services: Career Planning, Opportunity Map, Resume Building, Mock Interview and Progress Tracking. Final Round AI's free plan covers prep tools, and its site says practice rounds need a paid plan.
